Avon expands to physical points of sale in shopping malls in Peru

The American cosmetics line is looking to enter the retail market for the first time in Peru and Latin America.

American cosmetics brand Avon is starting the year with a new expansion strategy in Peru. The company will enter retail for the first time as a single brand with the opening of two islands or modules located in two shopping centers in Lima: CC Real Plaza Puruchuco and CC Plaza San Miguel.

This strategy, whose format is being implemented for the first time by Avon in the Andean country and Latin America, complements its traditional catalog sales model, offering an omnichannel experience for its consumers.

“From this year, our goal is to offer a comprehensive experience, guaranteeing greater accessibility to our products. This new strategy not only expands the channels of contact with consumers, but also creates a more dynamic and versatile ecosystem, with consumption options that coexist horizontally and complement catalog sales,” said Daniella Zumaeta, Retail Manager at Avon.

Zumaeta also explains that these two openings will be part of an expansion plan that will continue throughout the year, so we can expect the opening of more Avon islands in different shopping centres in the capital and the country.

POINTS OF SALE AND EXPERIENCE

The island at CC Plaza San Miguel is located on the second floor of the mall; while the one at CC Real Plaza Puruchuco is on the first floor. Both are permanently available and open to the public every day, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

It is worth noting that these sales modules have testing areas where, with the support of beauty consultants, you can receive personalized recommendations based on your needs.

"The islands not only function as points of sale, but are also spaces designed for people to live a unique experience with the wide variety of Avon products. There, they can discover which shade of makeup best suits their skin or which product fits perfectly into their personal care routine. This innovative format not only brings our products to more people, but also reinforces our commitment to the democratization of beauty, making it accessible, personalized and close to everyone," said Zumaeta.

On the other hand, with the opening of these spaces, Avon will offer special discounts from January 18 to 31. These promotions aim to encourage people to discover this new format and enjoy Avon products with a discount of up to 20% on selected products, covering various prominent categories of the brand, such as makeup, facial care.
