Last year, automotive shipments in the Aztec country grew 2.6% compared to the previous year, marking another year in positive territory.
According to figures from Inegi (National Institute of Statistics and Geography), automotive exports amounted to almost US$ 194 billion; 31.4% of the total exported.
This level was the highest since international trade figures began to be kept.
The United States was the main buyer of auto parts, cars, trucks and other automotive products from the country.
In 2024, it accounted for 86% of total Mexican automotive exports.
