Ideal, from Grupo Bimbo, inaugurates a new production line in Chile

Ideal, a company belonging to the largest baking company in the world, Grupo Bimbo, inaugurated its first production line for Salmas Cookies, from the Mexican brand Sanissimo in Chile, which involved a significant investment and is located in the premises of the Production Plant. Talagante, a few minutes from the capital, Santiago.

"In this way, Grupo Bimbo reinforces its commitment to the Chilean market through growth in terms of production of Ideal and its associated brands within the country, with the purpose of transforming Chile into a manufacturing and export hub for its products. with a view to contributing in the future to covering the demand of other markets in the region where the Mexican group is present," the firm said in a statement.

With this investment, Ideal will go from importing Salmas Cookies of the Sanissimo brand from other markets in the region, to establishing local manufacturing and thus satisfying the growing demand for this type of products.

This new line, in addition to being one of the most modern of the group globally, was designed to operate with 100% renewable energy and in this way continue promoting Grupo Bimbo's plan to reach 2050 with “zero waste” production.

"With the inauguration of the new production line for Salmas cookies, we want not only to satisfy and meet the requirements of local consumers, but also, and why not, to export our products from Chile to other markets in the region in a medium In this way, as a company we are betting through this investment and the generation of employment for the development of Chile,” stressed Randall Quesada, general manager of Ideal.

Ideal in Chile has three production plants in the country, located in the areas of Quilicura and Talagante, in the capital, and another in the city of Chillán.
